Give Comfort in the NEK!
Giving Tuesday, a global day of generosity, is December 2, and we hope you will consider giving comfort to children, adults, and families in need.
Partner with us to raise funds to fully stock the Comfort Cubby at the Front Porch Mental Health Urgent Care facility in Newport and second Comfort Cubby in St. Johnsbury.
Comfort Cubbies offer clients access to essential items such as hygiene products, a change of clothes, and food when they arrive in crisis. Having these basic needs met can provide immediate relief, helping someone feel safe, cared for, and supported in the moment. For individuals in crisis, something as simple as clean clothes, a meal, or the ability to take care of personal hygiene can have a profound psychological, emotional, and physical impact, reducing stress, restoring dignity, and creating a sense of stability.
By providing these supports, NKHS advocates can focus on the whole person, ensuring that care goes beyond the immediate crisis to include comfort, respect, and the foundations of well-being.
This campaign will begin on Tuesday, November 25 and run through December 5, 2025 with the goal of raising $7500 to fully stock both Comfort Cubby’s for one full year.
